Plate-to-Bar and Bar-to-Plate Conversions
Structural Material Manager can work with both Plates and Bars. Oftentimes, detailers specify all material as Plate even if certain sizes can be considered Bars. When the job is reaches the fabrication stage, however, fabricators usually want to convert some of the Plates to Bars.
